Hey y'all guess what day it is? Hump day yeahhhh (check this out if you need context geico camel commercial). So actually its almost CHRISTMAS. DO YOU KNOW WHAT THIS MEANS?!? IT MEANS I GET TO HAVE A TREE IN MY HOUSE!
Let me try this again...
Hey y'all so Christmas is just around the corner and I thought it would be fun to do a diy on Christmas Tree Ornaments! So without further adieu, i present to you:
TWIRLED PAPER CHRISTMAS ORNAMENTS
Ingredients
-scrap paper (preferably from a magazine and if you can get red/green/white, that would make it extra christmasy!)
-glue (a glue stick would also work)
-string/yarn
-scissors
-ruler
-marker
-christmas spirit!!!!
Step 1- cut & paste
Divide the scrap paper into strips 1/2 inch wide and cut 3 sheets worth of paper into strips (or more if you want a larger ornament). Roll each strip into a cylinder and secure the end with glue. (if you are having trouble keeping the paper in place, you can put glue on an entire side of the strip and then roll)
Step 2- arrange
Using your little rolled up balls, arrange them into a "christmasy" shape (i.e christmas tree) and secure with glue.
To add a hanger/add extra strength to your ornament
Place your ornament on a sturdy piece of paper (card stock, scrapbook paper etc.) and trace out you shape leaving a 1 inch x 1 inch box on the top. Cut out your shape (including the 1x1 box) and cut a circle out of the box. Glue the shape onto you ornament and you are ready to add it to your christmas tree!
Ciao for now,
Caitlin
